The film, produced by the Israel Film Service, is a part of a documentary series about the activities of the hostels managed by the Prisoner Rehabilitation Authority. The series presents the struggle of Yarik Mazariani, a new immigrant from Ukraine, who continuously uses drugs. After three months of rehabilitation at the rehab unit in Hadassah Ein Kerem, he arrives at the Beer Sheva Hostel in a move that should get him back on track. The hostel has therapeutic staff and instructors who support residents through rehabilitation, assist with job placement, and lead evening group and individual therapy sessions. The intensive treatments provide Yarik with tools to deal with pressures and thus preserve the rehabilitation process. In the last episode of the series, Yarick completes his rehabilitation process after a year in a hostel and moves into a “satellite apartment” with friends who are graduates of the institution. After Yarick and Rita decide to separate, Yarick returns to using drugs. Following conversations with the hostel staff, he returns to the clinic and starts rehabilitation again from the beginning.
