As part of the 1949 Armistice Agreements between Israel and Jordan at the end of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, Arab Prisoners of War of the Jordanian Legion, are released from Israeli captivity and return to East Jerusalem under Jordanian rule. The POWs arrive at the Mandelbaum checkpoint in Jerusalem, following the signing of the ceasefire agreements. The prisoners are seen getting off a truck at the Mandelbaum checkpoint, their clothes are being disinfected and they continue into Jordanian territory of Jerusalem, towards the direction of Saad and Saeed Mosque on Nablus Road.
