The film “Safe Beach”, produced by the Film Service for the Ministry of the Interior – Special Duties Division, provides a glimpse of the lifeguard and shows the importance of lifeguard work and the positive impact on people’s lives.
The film opens on a beach crowded with people. The lifeguard, standing in the lifeguard’s tower and watching the bathers. He uses binoculars to follow them and see if anyone is in distress. The lifeguard recognizes a person in distress who is beginning to drown. he jumps into the water on a pole and rescues the bather while performing resuscitation operations. Later, we also see how the lifeguard maintains order and warns the bathers in case of disobeying the signs and maintaining public order.
