The film “Simon Kagan – Who Am I?” was produced by the Israel Film Service as part of the first film for a new immigrant director. Simon Kagan, composer, and pianist, tells about the reasons that led him to make aliyah to Israel. He talks about the difficulties that accompany him as a new immigrant and how he tries to fit in with the help of music. He is looking for the connection between different styles of Jewish music and is engaged in studying, composing, and writing music which helps him and his wife make a living and succeed in integrating in the new land.
