A narrative short. The fisherman’s son is keen on catching himself a clownfish. He goes diving in the Red Sea, in search of the elusive fish. Featuring breathtaking underwater footage and a spellbinding soundtrack, the film unlocks and explores the secret, tantalising, underwater life of fish. The boy eventually manages to catch the fish, only to then realise that it can neither be tamed nor domesticated. Director Joe (Joseph) Reimer built Israel’s first ever underwater camera for the purposes of the film. Requiem for a Fish won Reimer an award at the Indonesian Film Festival.
