A short, mesmerizing film by Jacques Mori Katan that imagines a journey through the surreal paintings of the artist, painter, and stage designer Yosl Bergner. Katan and his regular cinematographer Amnon Salomon “wander” through Bergner’s paintings, entering and exiting them with dynamic camera movements. In doing so, they reveal the artist’s work to the viewer – its Jewish symbols, abstract dimension, and striking visual beauty.
The film is accompanied by the instrumental piece “Underture” from the rock opera Tommy by The Who.
