Maor Davidowicz, 22, converted to Islam and has since lived under constant threat in her northern hometown of Carmiel. Three years after her conversion, she is now a devout Muslim who follows the teachings of the Quran, prays five times a day, and yearns for a suitable match that would allow her to rear a model Muslim family. Maor’s Jewish mother, meanwhile, has recently started gravitating towards religion and is now observing the Sabbath and even dips in the local Mikveh – whereas her father is a hardline ultranationalist who supports an Arab-free State of Israel. The catch? All three live under the same roof.
