Director Aya Somech’s short was produced a part of Tel Aviv University’s Department of Film and Television Studies’ Coffee – Between Reality and Imagination project, spearheaded and artistically directed by Yael Perlov. The film follows couple, Eldad and Eva, whose relationship goes sour when Elad becomes increasingly more religious, embracing a radically new lifestyle and faith practices as he tries to turn the café that the two co-own into a kosher venue. The film won Best Short at the Montpellier Mediterranean Film Festival.
