An encounter between two women of different backgrounds leads to an unlikely friendship. One is Naomi – an Israeli woman living her seemingly best life; however the daily grind, along with the weight of her many responsibilities, and need to always be in control are slowly eating away at her. The other is Nigist, an Ethiopian Christian and foreign migrant worker who is in Israel illegally. Naomi, who is reaching her breaking point, hires Nigist as a carer for her mother-in-law and through her, she discovers a strange new world – the world of migrant workers whose lives in Israel are rife with loneliness, alienation, and isolation.
The film won a Wolgin Prize for Best Picture at the Jerusalem Film Festival.
