The battlefield as a film, and the film as a battlefield. Tel Avivian Mickey, a successful yuppy publicist is being called up to report for military service. The IDF have summoned him for reserve duty in Lebanon and Mickey is dreading he might not make it back alive. Meanwhile, US news reporter Joanna and her crew join his unit in search of an original spin on the war, and a real authentic face to put on it – and Mickey’s is the one they want. At the same time, the two start seeing each other. Overcome with a foreboding sense of imminent doom, the Israeli publicist ends up turning the news story into his own in memoriam film. Haim Bouzaglo’s film took home three Ophir Awards for Best Supporting Actor (Sasson Gabay), Best Cinematography, and Best Soundtrack.
