This Yariv Mozer & Yael Perlov-produced anthology comprises seven documentary shorts directed by young Israeli and Palestinian filmmakers, exploring each creator’s unique point of view on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as it plays out in Jerusalem’s ever-complicated day-to-day life.
Prince of Jerusalem explores the story of the Al-Husseini family through the POV of Abd al-Qader al-Husseini, son of late Palestinian politician Faisal al-Husseini.
Bus follows two public transport franchisers that operate in Jerusalem: Israeli operator Egged, and a Palestinian shuttle service. Each bus / shuttle route explores a different story about Jerusalem.
Ghetto Town follows a group of Palestinian rappers at the Shuafat (also Shu’fat) refugee camp.
Hammam al-Ayn and Me is set around a historical bathhouse dating back to 1336, which is now under threat by far-right group, Atarat Kohanim’s campaign to turn it into a synagogue.
In Israel’s Custody brings viewers the story of Muhammad al-Dajani, whose family is buried at the Maaman Allah Muslim cemetery (right by the posh Mamillah neighbourhood) that has had part of it turned into a carpark where the Museum of Tolerance has since been built.
The Little Western Wall follows the course of one day in a narrow alleyway in the heart of Jerusalem’s Old City where Jewish and Palestinian worshippers cross paths daily. The Jews consider the place an extension of the Western Wall, whereas the Palestinians have dubbed it Rabat al-Kurd and see it as another entrance into the Temple Mount.
Nine to Five follows a group of young Palestinian workers who leave their homes in the dead of night to scale the Separation Barrier and enter Israeli territory to seek out construction work.
