The village of Abu Snan in the Galilee experiences a rivalry among families. In recent weeks, five men from the Mashleb family were killed and 13 injured in clashes with the Sheikh family. An armistice agreement between the families was mediated by Police Chief of the Northern District, Aharon Sela. According to the agreement, the Sheikh family was required to pay compensation to the Mashleb family, and six members of the Sheikh family were to live outside the village until a peace agreement (Sulha) is reached. Near the signing of the agreement, the Mashleb family demands that the six men be expelled from the village for good. The agreement is being postponed.
