Pupils start their school year at the Denmark School in Jerusalem. The school realizes the governmental reform for integrated education by integrating students from richer and poorer neighborhoods in its classrooms. Younger children returned to the kindergartens. However, children of Beit HaYeled kindergarten started their year late due to the renovation of their classrooms. In August, the Youth Capital festival, held for 10 days, took place in Jerusalem. During the festival, children from the citys eastern and western neighborhoods competed in sports, bathed in the Zipori Center pool, and listened to music concerts. Participants of the Youth Capital play and sing at Daniel Garden in the city center.
