A film produced for the United Jewish Appeal. This time the appeal focuses on the lives of residents in Israel’s “developments towns”: semi-urban communities, often placed along the borders, and typically struggling, that were intentionally populated with immigrants from Muslim countries. The film presents the development towns as a fine example of Zionist dedication. It centers on the vulnurability of residents to act of terror and katyusha rockets and highlights such events as the 1974 Maalot massacre, even at the price of graphic imagery.
