A ceremony is held at the Habima theater in Tel Aviv, announcing the opening of the United Appeal, aimed at addressing the urgent needs of immigration absorption, such as housing solutions for new immigrants, employment options, regional development and more. With the help of the Jewish National Fund, Keren Hayesod, and Diaspora Jews, trees are planted, new roads are paved and new neighborhoods are built. Minister of Trade and Industry, Pinchas Sapir, delivers a speech on behalf of the Israeli government at the ceremony, alongside him are seen the Chairman of the Jewish Agency for Israel, Moshe Sharett, and Chairman of the Jewish National Fund, Jacob Tsur.
