Prime Minister and Defense Minister David Ben-Gurion and his wife Paula Ben-Gurion depart on a plane for a four-week visit to five northern European countries. In an official ceremony departs Prime Minister and Defence Minister from President Yitzhak Ben-Zvi, Deputy Prime Minister Levi Eshkol and Foreign Minister Golda Meir, before his departure to visit Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, and Iceland. The aim of the visit is to strengthen the relationship between Israel and the northern European countries.
