The convoy of the President of Ivory Coast Félix Houphouët-Boigny arrives at an open area near Eshtaol settlement for a planting ceremony of a forest named after President Houphouët-Boigny. Chief Executive of the Jewish National Fund Jacob Tsur accompanies the guest, who shakes hands with Israeli President Yitzhak Ben-Zvi, his wife Rachel Yanait Ben-Zvi , and Minister of Agriculture Moshe Dayan. The two Presidents address the audience, and then President Houphouët-Boigny, who donated the forest, plants the first tree, and a plaque is unveiled.
