The sixth national conference of the Herut movement opens at Heichal HaTarbut in Tel Aviv. Chairman of the movement Menachem Begin delivers the key speech at the conference, Israels Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Nissim congratulates the participants, as well as Mayor Mordechai Namir on behalf of the city of Tel Aviv, Knesset member Aryeh Ben-Eliezer, chairman of the partys management, delivers the opening speech. Also attending are Knesset members of Herut Yaakov Meridor, Avraham Drori, Yosef Kremerman, Haim Landau, as well as Rabbi of the prisoners of Zion Aryeh Levin.
