Venezuelas Minister in Israel, Vicente Gerbassi, submits his letter of credence to President Yitzhak Ben-Zvi at a formal ceremony at the Presidents House in the presence of Foreign Minister Golda Meir, who is representing the government, as well as Foreign Ministry officials. The deputy surveys a guard of honor outside the Presidents house, then meets President Ben-Zvi and hands over the letter in an official ceremony, followed by a toast with President Ben-Zvi and Minister Meir. Gerbassi is remembered today also as an important poet.
