Ahead of the elections for the fourth Knesset, Knesset Member Yosef Sapir delivers a stump speech in front of a large crowd at Kings of Israel Square in Tel Aviv. Posters advertising parties and candidates for local councils are posted in the cities. On election day, the state leaders go to the polls: President of Israel Yitzhak Ben Zvi votes in Jerusalem, Prime Minister David Ben Gurion votes at his home in Sde Boker, and Minister of Labor Mordechai Namir and Mayor of Tel Aviv Chaim Levanon vote as well. Citizens from minority communities vote in their towns. The next day, newspapers announce the results.
