Inauguration of the Tel Aviv Historical Museum. The museum is temporarily housed on the first floor of Beit Aryeh Shankar, which, prior to his death, commanded his home on 26 Bialik Street in Tel Aviv. The museums exhibit reflects the history of Tel Aviv from its inception to 1934 when it was declared a city. Guests at the exhibition can be seen as they tour through documents, certificates and photos depicting the citys beginnings. Prime Minister Moshe Sharett observes a model of the Gymnasia Herzelia, his Alma Mater.
