The awards ceremony of the industry optimization prize in memory of Eliezer Kaplan, former minister of finance, is held at the Hebrew University Faculty of Medicine. The awards are distributed by the Institute for Workforce Productivity and Production at the Ministry of Labor. The ceremony is held in the presence of Labor Minister Golda Meir, Chairman of the Association of Manufacturers Arieh Shenkar, and the head of the Trade Union Department at the Histadrut Aharon Becker. The awards are distributed to the office of Production Councils at the Trade Union Department in the Histadrut, the factories of HaMegafer and the Israel Military Industries, and the laborer Aharon Shor, an employee at the HaArgaz factory. The Dubek cigarette factory wins five awards. Minister Kaplans widow, Dvora, awards prizes to the winners.
