Delegate of the Soviet Union to Israel Alexander Abramov is escorted by Chief of Protocol to the presidents residence to present his letter of credence. Abramov reads the letter in the presence of President Yitzhak Ben-Zvi and Minister of Foreign Affairs Moshe Sharett and hands it to the President. At the end of the ceremony, the Soviet diplomats converse with the local officials and raise a toast.
