Demonstrators carry posters and march in the streets of Tel Aviv on Yom Hazikaron laShoah ve-laGvurah eve. Some wear the Yellow Badge, and others wear military decorations. Finally, the participants gather at the Dizengoff Square and leaders of organizations of veteran fighters against the Nazis address them. The next day, with the sound of the siren, the traffic stops and pedestrians stand at attention on the sidewalks. At the end of the memorial day, President of Israel Zalman Shazar and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abba Eban attend a ceremony at Yad Vashem, ending with torch-lighting and a military march.
