The renewed trial of Palestinian terrorist Mahmoud Hijazi opens at a military court in Rehovots magistrate court. The trial stopped earlier after Hijazi refused to be represented by an Israeli lawyer. After Minister of Justice denied the defendants request to be represented by a foreign lawyer, the trial is resumed. The defendant faces his judges Eliezer Arnon, Yaakov Stern, and Haim Anav, all lieutenant colonels. Hijazi refuses to cooperate with his Israeli lawyer, Avigdor Mishali.
