A three-day general curfew was imposed on Arish after its residents flew Egyptian flags and blocked roads in protest of the Israeli administration. The streets of the city, occupied by the IDF in the Six-Day War, are deserted. Some of the buildings are ruined as a result of the fighting. Tanks, guns, and vehicles of the Egyptian army that were confiscated by the IDF are towed to the railway station in the city. The equipment is loaded on trains and shipped to other places in Israel.
