The Musa Alami agricultural farming village near Jericho, known as The Constructive Factory for the Promotion of Village and Farm, suffered artillery attacks from the Jordanian territory. The farm is an educational center for children of Palestinian refugees founded by Musa Alami, where the children receive education and agricultural training, and hands-on experience in agriculture. The farm, which is set up in the Jericho area (3 km east of the city), was bombed several times by the Jordanians, and during the current bombing, buildings and equipment were damaged. Musa Alami is currently staying in London, and the farm manager is seen with his students, staying in the shelter during the bombing. Once the danger passes, the children leave the shelter and return to play in the yard. Musa Alami was a Palestinian lawyer and senior official secretary for the government of the British Mandate of Palestine, and a leader of the Palestinian National Movement. He maintained contacts and dialogue with Zionist leaders as David Ben Gurion and Moshe Sharett. His educational-agricultural initiative to rehabilitate and educate Palestinian refugees was a unique model of activism in his community.
