About a thousand residents of Yavne are protesting neglect and lack of infrastructure and development in their town. The initiators of the demonstration are members of the Young Bureau, gathered in front of the local council building, claiming that promises which were made to them months ago were not kept. The young activists are demanding investment from the local council as well as the government, to end the policy of neglect, and call for development in the form of road construction, night street lighting, the establishment of a youth center, the building of childrens playgrounds, improved sanitation services and more.
