Prime Minister Levi Eshkol returns from a historic trip to Africa. This is the first visit of an Israeli PM to the Dark Continent. Eshkol and entourage are festively received at the airport in Madagascar by senior officials and a guard of honor. A colorful local choir plays and dances for the PM upon exiting the airport, and his convoy is further welcomed by residents waving Israel flags. While Eshkol and his counselors meet with the President of Madagascar, his wife Miriam visits the market and examines local art. Afterward Eshkol lands at the airport in Uganda and is again accepted with an elaborate military ceremony that includes Israeli made Fouga planes flight. The visit ends with a group picture featuring Eshkol, his wife and the President of Uganda.
