President Zalman Shazar Visits Tel Aviv and Receives Honorary Citizenship from Tel Aviv Municipality

President Zalman Shazar arrives to Tel Aviv-Jaffa as a guest of the city, accompanied by his wife Rachel Katznelson-Shazar, and is greeted in Jaffa by Mayor Mordechai Namir. An official motorcade driving through the streets of Tel Aviv with President Shazar in a car alongside mayor Namir while a crowd of children and youth are waving with flags by the side of the road. The Tel Aviv Youth Orchestra welcomes Shazar with music and marching at the intersection of Allenby and Bialik Streets. The president is welcomed at Tel Aviv town hall at Bialik Square and greeted by members of the municipality, where a ceremony is held in his honor on the occasion of receiving honorary citizenship from the Tel Aviv municipality. The president waves to the audience from town halls balcony. Later, the president participates in the opening of the Museum of Ethnography and Folklore in Ramat Aviv, where he examines Jewish exhibits from different cultures. The president continues his visit to the Eretz Israel Museum in Ramat Aviv, where the president and his wife receive explanations from a museum instructor, and Mayor Namir accompanies them on their visit.
