In archive footage from 19th of May 1936 workers are seen unloading cement bags brought by a Yugoslavian ship to the beach of Tel Aviv after the Port of Jaffa ceased to function due to the 1936–1939 Arab Revolt in Palestine. Several years following the docking of the first cargo ship, the Tel Aviv Port was inaugurated in the same location, but years after, as the Tel Aviv Port was replaced by the ports in Ashdod and Haifa, only empty warehouses, small boats, and a vacant dock can be seen on site.
