Children go out to the fields to pick wildflowers as part of the Flowers of Our Country project, organized by Keren Hayesod (United Israel Appeal). The children pick flowers and keep them in a flat package. Accompanied by a teacher, the children sit at tables in a classroom and dry the flowers by pressing them in between book pages. A girl glues dried flowers onto Flowers of Our Country postcards. Another boy leafs through a book and pulls out a dried flower. The children carry boxes of packed postcards to the Keren Hayesod offices, where they hand them over for sending to Jewish children around the world.
