A man and woman hike in mountainous terrain, the two try to cool off in the shadow of a rock and continue on their way. Workers dig pits in the ground while a group of teenagers moves between the pits, planting seedlings in them and covering them with soil. The workers unload more seedlings from a donkey and the planting work continues. View of the new seedlings on the mountain. Hundreds of tree seedlings in the nursery, workers take care of the seedlings and prepare them for planting. The hikers discover a new forest in the distance and the two approach it and enter into the shade of the trees. A guide demonstrates to a group of young girls the process of pruning and thinning the trees. The girls prune and thaw the branches of the forest trees. Young men cut down trees, load the trunks on a truck and move them to a sawmill. Joseph Weiss, one of the founders of the Jewish National Fund, walks through the forest. A group of preschoolers strolls and play among the trees. The hikers sit under one of the trees in the forest and enjoy the shade. A group of teenagers stands in a clearing around their guide listening to an explanation about mushrooms. Joseph Weitz looks at new branches growing from an old tree trunk. A farmer works in a field located next to the forest.
