As we gear up to celebrate Independence Day 2021, we started toying with idea of what it might have been like had the Declaration of Independence been shot in Technicolor.
We give you a short teaser of those moments across the country as the Declaration was being made which we’ve treated to an especially fun and festive edit.
Happy Independence Day!
The footage features partial documentation of the Israeli Declaration of Independence and Jewish Statehood dated Thursday, 14 May 1948.
Declaration shot by Nathan and Leah Axelrod. Footage taken from the film The Day is Upon us (‘ba hayom’), 1950.
The modernized Declaration of Independence film editing was done by courtesy of Hailo – an AI-focused, Israel-based chipmaker, that has developed a specialized artificial intelligence processor that delivers superior performance to edge devices. The film illustrates just how artificial intelligence can upgrade video footage in end devices, in real-time. This is but one application of many which is enabled by the company’s products that are currently used in many edge-computing products, smart cameras, and more.
