Jews and Arabs dance together in the company however, with the looming visit to Kiev and Babi Yar, relationships within the group start to strain. In the process, Jamal must also deal with issues related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the historical memory of the Babi Yar mass murder site where tens of thousands of Jews were slaughtered by the Nazis.
