A weekend in the life of a field nurse at the height of the 1973 Yom Kippur War takes her from the frontlines to her home in Tel Aviv and back. Through her encounters with her flatmate and partner, a friend in hospital, and a shellshocked soldier at the warfront, Renen Schorr beautifully captures the whole war atmosphere, here in his directorial debut. “The Yom Kippur War is etched into every feature of Maya Rothschild’s face. Her expressions, her movements, the way she talks. I genuinely cannot recall a female character like her in other Israeli films in which War is the presiding Leading Lady.” (Amnon Lord)
