This documentary undertakes an exploration of the very concept of obsession: be it with love, death, knowledge, sex, control, attention, or cleanliness. Director, Ohad Milstein draws a running thread between obsessive compulsion and the zeitgeist and overall modern lifestyle, whilst acknowledging the assertion that obsession is the single most prevalent 21st century “disease.” The film sets out to examine the origins of obsession, how it comes into being, what it feeds and sustains itself on, and the purpose(s) it might serve in one’s life, as well as the obsessive’s everlasting, ultimate goal – achieving a state of euphoric salvation.
