אורי בר־און

Uri Bar-On is a screenwriter, TV and film director, and film lecturer. US-born Bar-On grew up in Israel and earned a master’s degree in film at Tel Aviv University’s Department of Film and Television Studies. Prior to that, he had earned a bachelor’s degree in general literature and business administration.
In 2002, Bar-On directed the short, 72 Virgins, which made the official selection for both Sundance and Tribecca film festivals. He later went on to direct the documentaries 50-52 (2006), and King Lati the First (2008).
In 2015 he wrote, directed, and produced the feature film, 10% my Child, which won an Ophir Award for Best Film, and was also featured at countless Israeli and international film festivals, including Jerusalem and Santa Barbara. In 2020 he and Nati Dinnar co-created the documentary series, Under the Iron Dome.
Bar-On was Head Writer on the third series of primetime telenovela, The Champion, and a staff writer on the first series of the acclaimed drama, Temporarily Dead.
