Dubi Gal is an actor, comedian, screenwriter, and director. Gal spent his military service in the Northern Command Variety Ensemble. On his return to civilian life, he started landing roles in theatre, film, and television. Gal was an ensemble cast member of legendary satire programme Nikui Rosh [‘head clearing’], during the show’s first series. In the eighties, he also wrote, directed, and starred in the films Magic Samson (1988), and Leave my Wife Alone (1989).
Highlights of his other film acting credits include Highway Queen (Menahem Golan, 1971), Hasamba & The Black Handkerchief Gang (Joel Silberg, 1971), The Great Telephone Robbery (Menahem Golan, 1972), The Pill (David Perlov, 1972), Nahtche and the General (George Obadiah, 1972), Schwartz: The Brave Detective (Ami Artzi and Lloyd Kaufman, 1973), and Top Masseur [aka ‘messagest hatzameret’ / ‘Der Sex-Masseur’] (Alfred Steinhardt, 1983).
Highlights of his stage credits include Napoleon – Dead or Alive!, directed by Nissim Aloni at Bimot Theatre, Per Gynt with Habima National Theatre, and the children’s play Karius and Bactus.
