Excerpt from the documentary Secrets of Jerusalem which was produced by the Film Service. Tisha BAv is a memorial day in Judaism for the destruction of the Temple. On this day, it is customary to fast and hold mass prayers. The announcer, Reuven Morgan, recounts one of the most important archeological discoveries from the night of the destruction. The burnt house, which was discovered in 1970 in archeological excavations hundreds of meters from the temple, miraculously managed to freeze in time and provide a glimpse into the way of life at that time.
