An episode of the television series “Kol HaHathalot”, edited by Michal Shelman.
After its founders abandoned it, Indian Jewish immigrants from Kochi settled in Kfar Yuval in the 1950s. Unlike their predecessors, the new residents decided to stay. But the life in the immigrant’s moshav on Israel’s northern border involve difficulties: widening gaps between the traditional elderly and assimilated youth, a debate over the status of women in the moshav, shortage of agricultural land for the next generation, but mostly – the security threat from nearby Lebanon. One year since a terror attack that killed three of Kfar Yuval’s residents, this film reviews the challenge the settlement faces.
