A documentary film produced as part of the project “Israeli Archive for Painting and Sculpture – Documentation in Films.”
The artist Gershon Rennert, born in Germany, immigrated to Israel with his family at a young age and grew up in Tel Aviv. There, he studied painting with some of the greatest Israeli artists of the time – Marcel Janco, Aharon Avni, and others. Influences from various styles, such as classical painting and fantastic realism, are expressed in his works, as well as the influences of contemporary painters like Picasso.
