A short film produced as part of the ‘Program for the Immigrant Director’ by the Israel Film Service. The film showcases the story of ‘Yogev Factory’ in Karmiael’s new industrial area. This factory, a shared dream of ten immigrant engineers from the Soviet Union who met in the Ulpan, faced bankruptcy two and a half years after its establishment. Through interviews with the entrepreneurs, their wives, and a representative from the local council in Karmiel, it delves into the reasons behind the factory’s failure. Alongside documentary clips and interview insights, the film incorporates unique staged shots and images from popular culture. These, weave together to present a poetic and colorful portrayal of the ideological gap between the Soviet Union and Israel.
