Documentation produced by the Culture and Education Center of the Histadrut and Rachel Films Ltd., capturing the celebrations of the Histadrut’s 60th anniversary. The events began at the Technion in Haifa, the Histadrut’s founding site, with a speech by the head of the Histadrut Yeruham Meshel. Festivities continued at Kibbutz Yifat with music and dance performances and “Open House” days across kibbutzim nationwide, where kibbutz members hosted urban workers to strengthen ties. In Rehovot, a national choir convention took place, while in Jerusalem, a Neighborhoods Day was held with representatives from across the country, alongside a folklore festival celebrating Israel’s diverse communities. In Tel Aviv, medallions were awarded to the Histadrut’s founders, and the events concluded with a festive ceremony at the Culture Center in their honor.
