Excerpt from Episode 13 of the TV series ״This Week 25 Years Ago״, created by the Israel Film Service, as part of the 25th-anniversary celebrations of the establishment of the State of Israel.
The Ben Yehuda St. Jerusalem bombing on February 22, 1948 was one of several serious attacks that were planned and carried out in cooperation between Arabs and British. The car bomb blast caused severe damage and killed 58 people. Many were injured. The excerpt includes testimonies from members of the Eisenberg family and Ms. Lotte Natan who were residents of Ben Yehuda Street at the time of the attack and whose lives were miraculously saved. Also included are film clips that were filmed immediately after the tragic event.
