Excerpt from Episode 7 of the TV series ״This Week 25 Years Ago״, created by the Israel Film Service, as part of the 25th-anniversary celebrations of the establishment of the State of Israel. Abd al-Qadir al-Husayni leads roughly a thousand-armed gang members to occupy the settlements of Gush Etzion, Revadim, Ein Tzurim, Mesuot Yitzhak, and Kfar Etzion after the women and children of the settlements were evacuated in early January following the siege. Despite the Arab’s numerical advantage, the battle is won by a small squad of settlers who surprise the gang members from the rear, killing many of them. A supply convoy called to the bloc is ambushed and all 35 of its members are gunned down.
