A young crowd gatheres in the middle of the desert with excitement to build a new home in the wasteland and fulfill David Ben-Gurion’s vision of reviving the Negev and Southern Israel.
This is the new Nahal settlement of Grofit in Aravah, where agriculture will flourish and a new thriving community will be established. The film documents the early days of Grofit, including the tent camp, the settlers’ daily routine, and the establishment ceremony, which was attended by David Ben-Gurion, Shimon Peres, and the IDF lieutenant general, Zvi Tzur.
