A documentary film produced by the Israel Film Service in collaboration with the IDF Spokesman, the Ministry of Information, and the Jerusalem Municipality fro the occasion of the 18th Independence Day of the State of Israel.
The State Independence Day ceremony was held at the Jerusalem Stadium, right below the Knesset and the Israel Museum, on the eve of Independence Day. The Order of Flags marches, and by order of President Zalman Shazar the state flag is transferred from the Navy Squad to the Squad of Nahal Soldiers. The president speaks, and at the end of the ceremony the signal is given for the beginning of the celebrations and the fireworks show.
