This news broadcast reviews the IDF military parade on 1968 Independence Day. The march was performed less than a year after the 6-day War and the unification of Jerusalem. It started in the northern part of the city that used to be under Jordanian occupation, passed by the old city, and finished at the city center. The march was an unprecedented military demonstration of power,  which included the airforce flyover, tank convoy, and infantry march. About half a million citizens watched the parade (about a fifth of the population then). Present at the parade were The prime minister, president, chief of staff, and other senior officials.
