Sam Hamburg, an American farmer dubbed the father of Israeli cotton by the farmers. Sam immigrated to Israel in 1952 and established the Shmuel Farm in Beit She’an, a cotton processing site. Thanks to his expertise and experience in cotton cultivation, Sam contributed to the rapid development of cotton production into one of the core branches of agriculture and the economy of Israel. Ten years after the establishment of the farm, the millionth bale of Israeli cotton was celebrated at the packaging plant.
